Bayer 04 Leverkusen will live up to their role as favorites on matchday 14 of the Bundesliga against an overwhelmed bottom light SpVgg Greuther Fürth and cemented third place with a runaway victory. Outstanding: Striker Patrik Schick with a four-pack in the second half.
Amine Adlie (11th minute) and Edmond Tapsoba (17th) quickly put Leverkusen in the lead at their home country BayArena. Fürth came in the meantime through Jeremy Dudziak to the connection goal (33rd), but Piero Hincapie (45th) and Patrik Schick (49th, 69th, 74th, 76th) with his goals in the second 45 minutes made for the clear and deserved 7: 1 (3: 1) victory of the Rhinelander.
Bayer 04 consolidated their third place in the Bundesliga with their fifth win out of six unbeaten competitive games. Fürth is heading towards further negative Bundesliga records with only one point and no win, as the bottom of the table with twelve defeats in a row.
Leverkusen double strike by Adli and Tapsoba
As so often this season, Leverkusen was initially wide awake in their own stadium. With the first shot on goal, the hosts scored a 1-0 lead (11th) with a direct acceptance by Amine Adli in the penalty area. Shortly thereafter, Fürth cheered the supposed equalizer (13th), but according to the video scenes, referee Tobias Reichel decided offside.

Leverkusen before English week
Bayer Leverkusen will initially play in the Europa League at Ferencvaros Budapest during the week (December 9th, 2021) and then have to go to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday (December 12th, 21st, 5.30pm). Greuther Fürth receives Union Berlin on the same day (3:30 p.m.).
