Food: The price drivers at Rewe, Edeka, Aldi and Lidl – opinion

Something is breaking in the always boring but basically flawless relationship between Germans and their food retailers, especially the discounters Aldi and Lidl. You offer me little except relatively cheap prices, that was the cheerless but functioning business basis between many citizens and the cheap shops. But now there are clearly visible cracks evidenced by surveys developed. The Germans no longer trust their grocers, many feel cheated, and there are reasons for that.
