If you buy flour in a drugstore, you should take a look at the product’s best-before date. A certain batch could cause physical discomfort.

The drugstore chain dm is recalling “dmBio Tigernut Flour 300 g” because of suspected salmonella. As the company announced on Friday, only goods with the best before date (MHD) April 30, 2024 are affected. This is easy to see on the back of the packaging.

“It cannot be ruled out that salmonella may occur in the article mentioned above,” the company said. This was found during self-checks.

Eating food contaminated with salmonella can cause diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting and a slight fever. Customers are asked not to consume the product and to bring it back to the dm stores unopened or already opened. The purchase price will be refunded – even without presenting the receipt.
