Floryan came with me “Scars” the decision show of “I want to go to the ESC!” won. This means he gets the last free place in the German preliminary round “Eurovision Song Contest – The German Final 2024”.
The 28-year-old singer from Künzelsau prevailed against his fellow candidates Anne Im and Luca M. Wefes in the live show on Thursday evening. Actually there would have been four of them in the field, but one day before the show Bibiane Z had to cancel her participation due to illness. Floryan’s next hurdle on his way to the ESC is on February 16th. Then he sings in the ESC preliminary round alongside Galant, Isaak, Leona, Bodine Monet, Max Mutzke, NinetyNine, Marie Reim and Ryk for the ticket to Malmö.
From the cover band to the ESC stage?

Floryan has been a big ESC fan since his youth, when he watched the victory Lena Meyer-Landrut was able to watch live on TV in Oslo. He is currently completing a master’s degree in music management at the Popakademie Mannheim. Although his hometown is Baden-Württemberg, he moved north for a practical semester. What he loves about Hamburg is the freedom of development that the city offers him. There he finally feels like he is better understood and can be himself. While he has only been musically active in a few cover bands so far, Florian now wants more. He has now taken a big step forward on his way to the ESC.
