The fifth season of “First Dates Hotel” starts in February. Roland Trettl once again invites you to follow people on blind dates.

The “First Dates Hotel” with Roland Trettl (52) will open its doors once again in February 2024. As the broadcaster VOX announced on Wednesday afternoon, the fifth season of the dating documentary will begin on Monday, February 5th from 8:15 p.m , broadcast. This is the new edition of the spin-off of the popular Trettl show “First Dates – A Table for Two”. However, the popular TV chef from South Tyrol does not welcome his guests in the spin-off as usual in a restaurant , but when checking in at a hotel.

There they are filmed by cameras on a blind date in a romantic atmosphere. If the spark ignites, the participants have the opportunity to extend their stay and experience another rendezvous the following day. According to Trettl, you generally have a lot more opportunities to get to know people in a hotel: “That doesn’t happen in a restaurant because there are actually two people sitting together at the table and in a hotel the entire hotel landscape is used.”

The celebrity version of “First Dates” is also getting a new edition

The fact that the participants get on a plane beforehand, leave the country and land on an island where the climate is different would also help them to fall in love even more easily. The new eight episodes of “First Dates Hotel” were filmed in Mallorca. A first season of “First Dates Hotel” was produced in France in 2020, the following two seasons in Croatia. The last episodes, which were broadcast at the beginning of 2023, were already filmed in Mallorca.

The original show “First Dates – A Table for Two” has been running on the private broadcaster VOX since 2018. A total of more than 750 episodes have already been produced in six seasons. In addition to the hotel spin-off, there is also a celebrity version of the show. In mid-December it was announced that another show was planned after the first celebrity edition in early 2023. On January 22nd, Roland Trettl invites actresses Jutta Speidel (69), Tina Ruland (57) and Mariella Ahrens (54), among others, on blind dates.
