Stefan Ruzowitzky is something like the historian of German-speaking cinema. The 59-year-old Austrian won the 2008 Oscar with “Die Fälscher”, which deals with the true story of prisoners in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp who had to produce counterfeit money for the SS. Even his latest movie “Hinterland” goes way back in history.
