Feelings within reach: “Endstation Sehnsucht” in the Munich – Munich team theater

The audience sits almost uncomfortably close to the living room setting of the team theater stage as the depths of the four characters from Tennessee Williams’ melodrama “Endstation Sehnsucht” unfold. You can feel the strangeness and defensiveness (or is it attraction?) between Stanley Kowalski and his sister-in-law Blanche DuBois, who intrudes on her sister’s domesticity in New Orleans. As soon as the voices and fists raise or the popcorn flies across the stage, the aggression hits you with full force.
