The “Bild” newspaper wrote that the federal police were initiating disciplinary proceedings against Pechstein. It will be checked whether they have violated the Civil Service Act. There was no “permission or permission to wear uniforms” for the CDU convention. Pechstein also did not make it clear in the speech that it was a “purely personal view”.

With regard to the question of wearing a uniform at political events, the Federal Police referred to a regulation for their officers, which was classified as classified information. “Accordingly, no service clothing may be worn by members of the federal police at political events.”

In the speech at the CDU, Pechstein had called for the deportation of rejected asylum seekers, among other things, and justified this with more security in everyday life. After that, their populism was assumed. Because of the uniform, the federal police initiated an administrative examination. Pechstein had stated that before her appearance, she had asked a superior and a union representative from the Federal Police to wear the uniform.
