Immediately after the whistle, St. Pauli’s Blitz-Knipser got off to a good start: Maximilian Dittgen thundered under the crossbar to make it 1-0 from the turn after Etienne Amenyido’s preliminary work (5th). Already the ninth (!) goal from St. Pauli in the first 15 minutes – best value in the league. But: After a strong 15 minutes, the Kiez-Kicker increasingly let the guests have the game. The result: Dennis Srbeny equalized – his first goal of the season (37th). And that wakes up the hosts again: This time Dittgen serves the extremely strong Amenyido, who deliberately shrinks in the bottom left – 2:1 (44th) shortly before the break.

The second half of FC St. Pauli was anything but sovereign. Again and again bad passes, hardly any offensive actions. Instead, Paderborn makes the game. Jannis Heuer pushes just past (55th). Huge blowout for St. Pauli when Jakov Medic deflected onto his own goal and keeper Nikola Vasilj turned the thing around the post (57th). Paderborn’s joker Kai Pröger hammered the crossbar (66th) – equalization a matter of time.

It then falls after a long ball that the St. Pauli defense misses. At the right corner, joker Marco Stiepermann circles the ball into the left corner – 2:2 (84th). In the end, St. Pauli even has to worry about one point. But at least that will remain at the Millerntor – and the Kiez-Kicker are still in second place.
