FC Bayern vs. Freiburg – “World class, machine”: Goretzka and Nagelsmann ennoble Neuer

The 2: 1-victory Manuel Neuer held on to Freiburg with several saves in stoppage time – and received exuberant praise from his team-mate Leon Goretzka and coach Julian Nagelsmann.
“You just have one hundred percent confidence that he’s there. He’s like a machine!” Said Goretzka after the game Sky.
After Bayern had the game completely under control for over 90 minutes, coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team again suffered some inexplicable weaknesses in stoppage time. Only Freiburg could not use this negligence because Neuer was simply insurmountable in the decisive moments.
“Of course he sometimes makes a mistake. But if he isn’t allowed to make a mistake, then he doesn’t make a mistake either. And that for years. It’s just world class,” continued Goretzka. “The bottom line is he’s the best goalkeeper in the world.”
After the game, Goretzka remembered his adviser Jörg Neubauer, who died during the week, with a correspondingly emotional tweet.
Nagelsmann continues with his praise
At the press conference after the game, coach Nagelsmann hit the same note. “Manuel Neuer is still the best goalkeeper in the world. He is really unbelievable in the training sessions, is always active, always wants to take part, has a child-like game. You can tell his age in no time,” said the Bayern coach.
For Neuer, who always showed a few insecurities in the last few games and failed both against Frankfurt and in Berlin the previous week and conceded five goals in Gladbach, further confirmation of his performance and his standing within the team.
