Surprise before the Bundesliga clash!
In the top game against Leverkusen ( here in the BILD live ticker) Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel (50) puts Joshua Kimmich (29) on the bench. Instead of the national player, Aleksandar Pavlović (19) is in the starting line-up. He plays alongside Leon Goretzka (29).
In the interview on “Sky” the coach is asked about the decision.
Tuchel’s answer: “We wanted to leave the two (Goretzka and Pavlovic, editor’s note) together. Josh came back to training this week and was able to train almost 100 percent.”

And further: “But it wasn’t the moment to take the risk 100 percent because both of them played well together. That’s why it’s good we can finish the game with Josh.”

It sounds like Kimmich could at least look forward to a short stint in Leverkusen.
