Neuer’s comeback is imminent – Sané and Coman are there

Manuel Neuer is back at FC Bayern Munich – at least in final training. It’s not just the captain who is likely to return in the Champions League against Arsenal.
Captain Manuel Neuer is in the quarter-final first leg of the FC Bayern Munich at FC Arsenal before his comeback. Like the offensive players Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman as well as full-back Noussair Mazraoui and midfielder Aleksandar Pavlovic, who were also missing from the sobering 2:3 against 1. FC Heidenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday, the national soccer goalkeeper was at the final training session on Monday.
However, only the first quarter of an hour of the session in Munich before departure to London was public to the media. The final training started around half an hour later than scheduled due to a meeting. After the recent dampening of the mood before the first leg on Tuesday (9 p.m./Prime Video) in the British metropolis, there was certainly enough to talk about.
Neuer’s return should provide security
The 38-year-old Neuer sustained an adductor injury during the national team’s preparation for the recent international matches against France (2-0) and the Netherlands (2-1) and was therefore missing from Bayern’s 2-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund . Sven Ulreich replaced Neuer in goal in the two defeats.
“Ulle has our full trust. As long as Manu is injured, Ulle will play; when Manu is fit, he will play again,” coach Thomas Tuchel announced. The way was paved for the captain’s return to the team, he would give the team more security. Sané and Coman should provide momentum on the offensive. Pavlovic, who is out sick, could be an alternative for the midfield.
Last chance for the title for FC Bayern
After the defeats in the Bundesliga against Borussia Dortmund (0:2) and at 1. FC Heidenheim (2:3), FC Bayern’s last chance for the title is after the German championship has been practically decided in London. At the Emirates Stadium, the Munich team want to develop a good starting position for the second leg on Wednesday in Munich a week from now.
