FC Bayern Munich are said to be interested in signing Ryan Gravenberch. The 19-year-old is a top performer at Ajax Amsterdam.

In search of midfield reinforcements, FC Bayern has apparently put out feelers to the Netherlands. As the Algemeen Dagblad reported that FC Bayern is said to be interested in Ryan Gravenberch from Eredivisie record champions Ajax Amsterdam. The 19-year-old is tied to Ajax until 2023.

According to the report, talks about an early contract extension have so far been sluggish.

There Goalkeeper Andre Onana and Defender Noussair Mazraoui will leave the club on a free transfer this summer, Ajax is particularly motivated not to give up Gravenberch a year later without severance pay. Accordingly, a transfer in the summer of 2022 would be the last chance for a high transfer fee. The paper even speaks of a “bitter necessity” to give up the talent now.

FC Bayern: Ajax talent Gravenberch is advised by Raiola

Gravenberch, who is advised by Mino Raiola, is one of the top talents in his age group and has long been the focus of numerous top clubs across Europe.

“Everyone knows that I’m not done learning at Ajax. (…) But everything I say here affects the negotiations. Luckily I don’t have to worry that much. That’s Mino Raiola’s task, but everyone keeps asking me about it,” Gravenberch said recently Ajax Life Magazine.

Gravenberch is one of the top performers at Ajax and has made 21 appearances in the Eredivisie this season (1 goal, 3 assists) and has also made all six appearances in the Champions League.
