FC Barcelona: Transfer of ex-BVB star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is fixed

At Arsenal, coach Mikel Arteta wanted to do without his ex-captain, now Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is going to FC Barcelona – and on a free transfer.
FC Barcelona have officially announced the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The 32-year-old joins Arsenal on a free transfer. The 32-year-old had terminated his contract with the Gunners on Deadline Day, so he was hired by Barca on a free transfer.
At Arsenal, the Gabonese wore the captain’s armband in the first half of the season. After several discipline problems, however, coach Mikel Arteta decided not to play Aubameyang in the future. The attacker’s annual salary is said to have been 20 million euros in London, at Barca he has to be satisfied with significantly less.
The Catalans have handed Aubameyang a contract until 2025 with an option to end the contract early in the summer of 2023. The release clause is 100 million euros.
