Favorable industrial electricity: Economics Minister Habeck presents the concept – economy

The economy, trade unions and SPD have been increasing the pressure for weeks – now Robert Habeck has delivered: On Friday the Federal Minister of Economics presented a concept with which he wants to ensure that energy-intensive companies also receive cheap electricity in the medium and long term and therefore have no reason to go it alone to relocate factories abroad because of local energy costs. Until cheap green energy is available in sufficient quantities, Habeck wants to subsidize electricity for industry down to six cents per kilowatt hour (kWh).
