Fans of the Etang de Thau stand deprived of PSG reception

The Etang de Thau grandstand was closed on a precautionary basis before the in-depth study of the file by the disciplinary committee of the Professional Football League, on February 8. During the reception of Nantes (0-3), on January 15, Ultras had deployed banners with homophobic content and thrown many smoke bombs on the ground, resulting in a long interruption of the match.

The dissatisfaction followed the slap received during the week in Nice (6-1) and the team’s difficulties in the standings. If the club and the supporters risk heavy sanctions, the first consequence concerns the subscribers of the tribune. As the 1,700 places are all closed, none of them (including spectators who are not part of the Ultras groups) will be able to attend the match against Paris on February 1.

The match already sold out

The meeting against the leader of the French championship is already sold out. No places can therefore be offered by club. In the past, during previous suspensions, the MHSC had placed its supporters and in particular its Ultras, in other stands of the stadium. But the lack of available places, as well as the violence of the remarks which did not pass at all internally, this time cut short any possibility of appeal.
