A fall caused by an e-bike rider in Donauwörth (Donau-Ries district) gave rise to an investigation into a chicken thief. According to police reports, the 47-year-old man ran over a fish trap that was laid out on a bike path and led to a garden on a property on Thursday night. The cyclist fell due to the impact with the bird catcher and suffered a bruised hand. Investigations revealed that an initially unknown person had laid out the trap to catch chickens from the property. According to the property owner, seven chickens may have been stolen in this way in the past. The police secured evidence on site. The investigation was ongoing.
