What happened in the Mediterranean last Wednesday around two in the morning, just before the Greek resort of Pylos – the screams, the fear of death, the locked holds, the children who couldn’t even try to swim for their lives but drowned below deck – that wasn’t a tragedy by human standards. A tragedy, that would be a fateful development that comes over people and is inevitable. An accident.
