Fabien Roussel, PCF candidate, launches his summer caravan from Marseille



More than 4,000 km and 43 cities: the Communist Party’s presidential candidate Fabien Roussel launched his summer caravan in Marseille on Tuesday called “Happy Days”, to disseminate his proposals for “popular and positive reforms” for 2022.

On the Mistral de l’Estaque park, in the 16th arrondissement of Marseille, the PCF candidate and local activists inaugurated this summer caravan which will travel all along the coast for seven weeks, in 23 departments and 43 cities, from Nice to ‘in Malo-les-Bains (North), to meet holidaymakers, residents and seasonal workers.

On the truck in the flashy colors of red, mauve, pink, yellow, the head of number 1 of the PCF is displayed. Around, deckchairs, games, tables and chairs, underline its desire to present its proposals for the presidential election “in a playful way”.

“We want to talk about happiness”

Games, postcards to send to President Emmanuel Macron are available, as well as a holiday book that allows you to know “if you are a communist”, campaign accessories such as condoms, pens or mugs, a gazette and digital tablets to discover the candidate’s proposals.

“We wanted a festive, colorful caravan. We want to talk about happiness, popular and festive reforms, “continues the candidate, who defends retirement at 60 years at full rate, a” pact for youth “, reindustrialization, the restoration of the ISF, the 20% increase in the minimum wage or the creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs for the hospital.

After 15 years of absence in the presidential elections, Fabien Roussel was invested in May by the Communist Party to lead the battle of 2022, which did not delight rebellious France, which hoped to see him rally again Jean-Luc Mélenchon from the first round.

The caravan will notably pass through Nice, Martigues, Nîmes, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Nantes, Rennes, Le Havre or Le Touquet, “to say hello to the president”, in the words of Fabien Roussel.
