Faber-Castell with new personnel: “We do a few things differently than before” – Economy

Time stands still in the foyer right next to the Faber-Castell gatehouse. Dark green carpet, white rough plaster, deep black leather armchairs, a wall clock with folding numbers – the room exudes the chic of the late 1970s. The time in which Count Anton-Wolfgang von Faber-Castell took over the business of the Stifte dynasty. The grand seigneur not only ran the family business for almost four decades, but also embodied the aristocratic aspirations of the Faber-Castell brand. When he died in 2016, the shine began to fade. His heirs became bogged down in jealousy, and the company suffered as a result. Then came the pandemic – and Stefan Leitz right in the middle of it.
