Not everything that is punctured from confidential conversations is also a secret. From the exploratory talks between the FDP and the Union, for example, not much has been divulged that would not have been known anyway. Neither the assertion by FDP leader Christian Lindner that he still wants a Jamaica coalition, nor the appeal that the Union must “pull over” the Greens, comes as a surprise. The breach of trust is banal on the matter. What matters is the breach of trust itself.
