On average, a German citizen causes 225 kilograms of packaging waste per year. Carolina Schweig tries to reduce this enormous amount. Schweig is a packaging engineer. Among other things, she developed a yoghurt pot that uses less crude oil to produce than a conventional pot. She has also advised companies such as Beiersdorf and Colgate.
