For decades there was a safe in the garbage room of the Austrian parliament. When the renovation of the dilapidated building on the Ring in Vienna was due in 2017, the decision was made to break open the closet. And lo and behold: Two bronze heads of Adolf Hitler came to light, as well as a relief and a painting showing the former Führer, among others, with Horst Wessel, the author of the text of the party anthem of the NSDAP.
