For the 50th birthday of the album All Things Must Pass, an official music video for George Harrison’s hit My Sweet Lord has been released. Many stars have teamed up for this.

20 years after the death of ex-Beatle George Harrison, an official music video for his hit “My Sweet Lord” has been released – with many celebrity guests.

Harrison’s former bandmate Ringo Starr, actor Mark Hamill and director Taika Waititi have guest appearances in the short film that was released. Harrison’s widow Olivia and son Dhani, who co-produced the video, can also be seen. The clip was released on the 50th anniversary of the album “All Things Must Pass”, on which “My Sweet Lord” was heard for the first time.

The approximately seven-minute video follows the actors Fred Armisen and Vanessa Bayer, who are on a secret mission as special agents. They meet many other stars in the process. The pair’s search ends when they hear “My Sweet Lord” on the radio. The agents are “looking for something that cannot be seen,” says George Harrison’s website. The short film thus reflects “the searching nature of the song”.

The legendary lead guitarist for the Beatles died of cancer on November 29, 2001 in Los Angeles. He was 58 years old.
