Evonik: Warning about the “brown mob” – Economy

Christian Kullmann, head of the chemical company Evonik, is worried about the European elections – and about business. The company is therefore cutting jobs, especially in management – and is not alone in this.

The European elections are in three months, and Christian Kullmann is worried about the good poll numbers of right-wing populist parties like the AfD. And since the head of the specialty chemicals company Evonik is not afraid of political announcements, he used the balance sheet presentation on Monday in Essen to issue a warning: “An economically prosperous Europe doesn’t need one thing: a brown mob in the European parliaments.” The European elections are important, they set the course for the next five years. In Kullmann’s opinion, successes for right-wing extremists not only endanger democracy, but also prosperity on the continent.
