Brilliant day for the German water jumpers: There are two titles at the European Championships in Poland. The successes give the team courage for the big highlight of the season.

Timo Barthel and the two sisters Christina and Elena Wassen gave the German water jumpers a golden day at the European Championships.

24-year-old Christina Wassen and Elena, two years younger, won the European Championships in Rzeszów, Poland, the title in synchronized diving from the tower. They celebrated the greatest international success of their careers together.

World Championship in Fukuoka is coming up

A short time later, Timo Barthel won another gold medal in the individual from a height of ten meters and a quota place for the German team for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. For both German jumpers it was already the second medal in the title fights at the European Games. Christina Wassen took silver from the tower in the singles on Friday. Her sister finished second on Saturday with Alexander Lube in mixed synchronized jumping from a height of ten meters.
