A general practitioner was heard by the Nantes criminal court on Wednesday. The sixty-year-old, who works in the Châteaubriant sector (Loire-Atlantique), was prosecuted for having accidentally caused a four-month-old baby to fall, without causing any consequences.

The events took place in November 2023: by placing him on the scales, he had let the baby escape who had fallen around ten centimeters. The defendant was drunk at the time of the incident.

“I worked long hours. I had drunk a little, yes. But the breathalyzer test was not even positive among the police! », he defended himself at the hearing after West France. The judgment was not rendered because the plaintiffs were not at the hearing. The trial is postponed until March 2025.
