Lille has fulfilled its mission. This Thursday evening, Lille beat Klaksvik (3-0), during the sixth and final day of the group stage of the Europa Conference League. At the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Villeneuve d’Ascq, the three goals were scored from the penalty spot, thanks to Yusuf Yazici (29th), Angel Gomes (87th) then Edon Zhegrova (90th+6). The Dogues finished at the top of group A and validated their place in the round of 16. The Faroese, for their part, finished last.
In the absence of Jonathan David, injured in his calf, Yusuf Yazici was once again present at the forefront of the Lille attack. The Turk opened the scoring, from the penalty spot, with his left foot and taking Jonatan Johansson on the wrong foot (29th, 1-0). The Klaksvik goalkeeper dived again on the wrong side, on the second penalty, transformed this time by Angel Gomes, on a low shot (87th, 2-0).
