“Eulenspiegel Flying Circus” in the Small Post Courtyard of the Deutsches Museum – Munich

Less can be more: In the small Posthof of the Deutsches Museum, cabaret organizer Till Hofmann and host Wolfgang M. Heckel presented the current edition of the “Eulenspiegel Flying Circus“. The open-air cabaret festival, which was once born out of necessity, is now moving here, where in the past few summers perhaps the most beautiful corona test station in Munich was at home. Firstly, because the large inner courtyard was moved to the will no longer be available in the next few years. But also because cabaret is one of the Corona losers: “I hear it from everywhere that at the moment only half of the previous visitors are coming. It’s dramatic,” reports Till Hoffmann. You can only win back the audience by playing reliably and in new environments and formats.

This is how you will make yourself comfortable in August in the cozy little Posthof. Four premieres and a dernier – Luise Kinseher plays “Mamma Mia Bavaria” (4.8.) for the last time – crown the program: On August 2nd, Ludwig Müller presents his program “Unpacked” in a world premiere. As usual, the Tyrolean resident of Munich tries to process the current events in rhyme format. On August 6th, it will be Robert Blöchl’s and Roland Penzinger’s turn, alias “BlöZinger”. In their ninth program “Zeit”, the wonderfully changeable Viennese again slip into various roles. No less often described as a stage pig, the Berlin-based Italian with Swabian roots Patrizia Moresco will do gymnastics on August 20th under the title “Best of Kracher” through everyday madness. Her compatriot Massimo Rocchi is less noisy. Trained in pantomime by Marcel Marceau in Paris, the theater scholar transforms the world into a theater in the new program “Carte blanche”.

Otherwise – this also fits with Hofmann’s credo of sustainable and slimmed down – mainly locals can be seen, from Teresa Rizos (5 August), Christine Eixenberger (9 August) and Stefan Leonhardsberger (10 August) to Stefan Kröll (11 August), Django Asül (12 August) and Helmfried von Lüttichau (13 August) to Constanze Lindner (19 August), Sven Kemmler (26 August) and Sigi Zimmerschied (30 August). Accompanied by a few old acquaintances from neighboring regions who pass as ex- or almost-Munich residents, such as Alfred Dorfer (1 August), the current Dieter Hildebrandt Prize winner Severin Groebner (18 August), Michael Hatzius alias Die Echse (21 August ), Matthias Egersdörfer (25 August), Hosea Ratschiller (27 August) and Philipp Weber (31 August). With three quarter blood (8.8.) and The Nino from Vienna (28.8.) there is also music in it.
