EU:Nuclear power plant decision postponed

The EU Commission will postpone the delicate decision as to whether investments in nuclear and gas power plants should be considered environmentally and climate-friendly. That said the EU Financial Market Commissioner Mairead McGuinness Financial Times. Views on the topic diverged widely, said the Irish woman and indicated that the submission of the relevant legal act could drag on until 2022 – also to wait for the formation of a government in Berlin. Originally, this should be done by the end of the year. The authority is currently determining which economic activities are green in a so-called taxonomy. That should be decisive for which stocks can be found in eco-funds. France, Finland and Eastern European countries are pushing for nuclear reactors to be included. Governments like the German are against it.
