EU expansion: Slovenia and Germany support Western Balkan states – politics

The crane arm of a blue truck lifts a roll of transparent film onto the snow-covered roof of the Civil and Civil Protection logistics center in Roje, a few kilometers outside Slovenia’s capital Ljubljana. In August, the country was hit by the worst floods since independence in 1991, killing seven people. Back then, roofs were temporarily patched with foil and attempts were made to prevent slopes from slipping. Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon invited her colleague from Germany to come here.
