EU accession: Bosnia-Herzegovina needs a perspective – and an announcement – opinion

One of the prominent sideshows at the EU summit this week is once again Bosnia-Herzegovina. The country is still shaped by the frozen war of the 1990s. And of a provisional constitution adopted at the US military base in Dayton, which makes some of the war aims at the time – such as ethnic division – the basis of its statehood. In one of the two parts of the country, a separatist close to the Kremlin is ruling who is leaving no stone unturned to sabotage this makeshift state structure into disintegration.
