The new year has just begun. Recently, the Ethereum Foundation has announced the countries where Devcon 7 will be held. The country that will host this event is not far away. That’s our Thailand. Hello Ethereum family!
We’re happy to kick off the new year by sharing an update that not only reveals the date and location for this year’s Devcon 7, but expands on our exciting vision. This year marks Southeast Asia as a platform for gathering our communities. And here’s the reason. Let’s go see.
First of all, thank you for your patience amid all the rumors and speculation about our next destination. After theMemorable time in BogotaFor Devcon VI, we made the decisionDevcon 7 scheduled for 2024
The main reason for the decision was our desire to increase Devcon’s appeal to the regional Ethereum community. The additional time allows us to engage with these local communities in more detail. It provides support and empowerment in a more meaningful way.
Now we’re ready to make Devcon 7 a more regionally focused event. and to reflect this vision We will refer to it as “Devcon Southeast Asia” instead of referring to the host city.
From the new context and vision that has been told so far. Let’s dive into the exciting details!
Devcon has arrived in Southeast Asia.
We are excited to announce that Devcon 7 will be held from November 12-15 in Bangkok, a vibrant city in Thailand. with a spirit that will resonate throughout Southeast Asia in the years to come.

The Ethereum community in Southeast Asia has significant potential. As evidenced by the rapid growth in adoption of cryptocurrencies, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand are leading the way. Why did Devcon 7 come to SEA?
Additionally, Southeast Asia is a melting pot of diverse cultures. It has a rich history and communities, and our intention was to capture all of Southeast Asia in the Devcon 7 experience, from the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur to the beautiful scenery of Bali. From the tech hub of Singapore to the historical charm of Vietnam.
It can be said that this region is full of energy and for “Bangkok” with its unique blend of tradition and modernity. This makes it an ideal location both in terms of location suitability and global reach.
The Road to Devcon: Our journey so far
In the past several months We have started the project Road To Devcon (RTD) Grants It was initiated out of our commitment to support the growth of new Ethereum activity, grassroots communities. and educational efforts across Southeast Asia. We are delighted to see enthusiasm and innovative proposals pouring in from Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam and other neighboring countries in Southeast Asia.
