The Testnet network acts as a blockchain that allows developers to try out applications and find bugs before launching them on the mainnet. Currently, the Ethereum ecosystem has two main Testnet networks: Goerli and Sepolia. However, there are reports that Goerli will be canceled soon, paving the way for a Holesky release.
