Ethereum developers release devnet 2 in preparation for the upcoming Shanghai upgrade.

Ethereum developers have launched a new developer network called “devnet 2” to help clients prepare for the upcoming Shanghai upgrade.

The developers are also preparing to run the Shanghai shadow fork on Ethereum mainnet in the coming weeks. As part of the rehearsal for the Shanghai upgrade, the shadow fork is actually testing the mainnet version to verify the code will actually work on the blockchain.
