Ethereum Core Developers Plan to Launch a New Testnet Network Called “Holli”

Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko is planning to launch a new testnet called “Holli” in response to the difficulty of obtaining ETH on the blockchain’s main testnet.

The launch of Holli is expected later this year. It may improve the testing environment for client and application developers, as well as node operators, aiming to address the challenges associated with supplying ETH on the Ethereum Testnet, specifically on Goerli.

Goerli is an important Testnet network and is widely used by validators. However, Beiko says the distribution of GoETH is in the hands of a few validators. Small amounts of GoETH are distributed via “faucets” to verified users on Twitter. Which raises concerns about privacy.

So Beiko and other key developers have offered to introduce Holli as a new Testnet network to address the problem. and provide a better environment for developers and validators.
