ETH price breaks $2000 after the awaited upgrade of Shanghai and Capella has been implemented on Ethereum mainnet.
The Ether price hit the $2,000 level on April 13, its highest level since August. This happened after a successful Shapella upgrade at 10:27 PM UTC on April 12.
The upgrade allows the withdrawal of staked ETH, even if a new supply of ETH enters the market. This led many to expect a price dump, but the ETH price managed to hit $2,000 and is currently holding its level at the time of writing.
Glassnode predicts that only about 1% of the staked ETH may hit the market after Shapella goes live. from the information of the company Only 253 depositors have signed up to withdraw their staked ETH, and the company expressed confidence that the latest updates on the network will not have a “substantial” impact on the price of Ether.
