Estonia is electing a new parliament in times of high inflation and a neighbor who is unpredictable with Russia. In the end, Estonians of Russian origin could tip the scales. It is also about the future course of one of Ukraine’s main supporters.

“From now on, all schools will only have to teach in Estonian, Russian must finally disappear completely,” advertises Stiine in front of the “Kristiine” shopping center in downtown Tallinn. “And the Estonian forest must not be processed into export paper,” she continues, offering a newspaper along with a pen. The petite pensioner in the thin blue windbreaker is campaigning for EKRE together with the student Kristian in his green Palestinian sash.
