Student allegedly abuses his sister – and posts video of it in the class chat

Parents and siblings of students from Essen have alerted the police to an abuse video. A boy allegedly abused his sister, filmed the act and sent it to a chat group.
The class chat at a school in North Rhine-Westphalia is loud Police distributed a video of a student allegedly sexually abusing his younger sister. The suspect boy made the recording himself, the police in Essen said on Thursday without providing any further details. After receiving the video, classmates turned to parents and older siblings, who called the police.
The incident occurred at a school under the jurisdiction of the police in Essen; the officers did not provide any further information about the facility or the age of those involved. The investigation is being carried out by a special investigative group of the Essen police, which takes action against child pornography and sexual violence against children.
Essen police praise response to abuse video
Parents and siblings “reacted in an exemplary manner” and contacted the police “immediately” after receiving information, the investigators explained. At the same time, they pointed out that even receiving depictions of abuse sent in chat groups is punishable under German law.
