It’s not just women, children and cats who are fleeing the war in Ukraine to the west – industrial companies are also relocating. About the great migration – and who benefits from it

Women and children flee to the west, the old and sick flee. Even cats and dogs are leaving the destroyed or besieged cities in eastern Ukraine. And the companies? They’re moving too. Not just the mobile digital start-ups who can open their laptops in any workspace in Galicia or Bukovina. Entire metal processing companies, special paper plants, generator production facilities with hundreds of employees are relocating their production lines to the western part of the country.
