Two burglars fled the scene of the crime in Wunsiedel, Upper Franconia, without shoes. A 27-year-old man left the patio door open during a short nap on Thursday, police said on Friday. Presumably to be particularly quiet, the two thieves took off their shoes in front of the door. But that didn’t help. Awoken by a noise, the man discovered the two perpetrators, who were around 16 years old. They fled and got away with a stolen purse but no shoes. Police are now looking for witnesses who may have seen thieves wearing socks.
