Eric Zemmour’s eldest son indicted for involuntary injuries

A sadly classic traffic accident but a driver who is much less so. Hugo Zemmour, the eldest son of the 2022 presidential candidate, was indicted on Monday May 8 for involuntary injuries resulting in total incapacity for work (ITT) for less than three months, learned 20 minutes with the Paris public prosecutor’s office, confirming information from the Parisian.

An aggravating circumstance was retained: Hugo Zemmour was under the influence of an alcoholic state: during his arrest, he was checked at 1.6 g of alcohol per liter of blood, i.e. three times the authorized dose. The eldest child of the far-right polemicist is also being prosecuted for “carrying category D weapons”, a switchblade having been found in the passenger compartment of his vehicle, specifies the prosecution. He was placed under judicial supervision with a driving ban, an obligation to undergo treatment and a ban on carrying a weapon.

The accident occurred Saturday morning, shortly after 7 a.m., at the corner of rue Vaugirard and Cassette, in the chic districts of the capital. According to the first elements of the investigation, Hugo Zemmour, who was driving at high speed, would have refused priority and hit a scooter. The driver, very seriously injured in the legs, was evacuated to the Kremlin-Bicêtre University Hospital, his passenger, also injured, was transported to the Beaujon hospital in Clichy.
