Forced kisses from the polemicist to a young journalist in 2005, “misplaced” attitude in 2012 to an intern at Figaro, Equivocal SMS in 2019 to a CNews editor or sexual assault of a makeup artist in a dressing room:
Médiapart reported, in an investigation published Thursday, a series of testimonies incriminating Eric Zemmour. However, the polemicist Eric Zemmour will remain on the air on CNews.

No complaint against Eric Zemmour has been announced. His lawyer refused to comment just like the daily Le Figaro where the polemicist officiates as a chronicler. Asked by AFP, the Canal + group, parent company of the news channel CNews, confirmed that it remained on the air, without further comment.

Testimonials on social networks and in the press

On April 24, Gaëlle Lenfant, opposition municipal councilor in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône) and former head of women’s rights for the Socialist Party (PS), gave her testimony on Facebook. The elected explains that the discovery of a display in her town in favor of Eric Zemmour’s candidacy for the presidential election reminded her “that moment of (her) disgusting life” when the latter kissed her “By force” during a summer school of the PS in La Rochelle in the early 2000s.

“I found myself so flabbergasted that I could do nothing other than push him back and run away,” says Gaëlle Lenfant, then a “young socialist” activist. “He helped himself. It was years ago, but the disgust doesn’t go away, ”she adds.

A few days after this publication, the Belgian journalist and author Aurore Van Opstal had affirmed on Twitter that Eric Zemmour had “caressed her thigh to the crotch” a few minutes after their meeting in a Parisian cafe. His testimony, developed in the Médiapart investigation, has since disappeared from the social network after the closure of his Twitter account.
