Scandal in the jungle camp: Eric Stehfest refused an exam. His wife Edith protects him.
The current season of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!” is richer by a scandal. Eric Stehfest (32) refused the jungle test to punish his fellow campers. They finally found him “shit” and Harald Glööckler (56) deceived him with a sentimental but allegedly made-up story. The actor didn’t see fighting for an extra meal for them. In the RTL show “The hour after”, among other things, Stehfest’s wife Edith (27) spoke up.
“So first of all, the man finishes me again because I just didn’t expect it at all,” explains the 27-year-old on “I’m a star – get me out of here! The hour after”. She would never have expected the radical step of the hitherto rather inconspicuous actor. However, the action revealed his “bad boy character”, “which I love very much about him”. Her husband consistently pulls through and accepts being hated by his roommates. She sees his refusal, a novelty in the history of IBES, as her husband’s last resort to point out grievances. She is proud that he “has shown such blatant backbone”.
Repressed hatred and fear in Eric Stehfest?
Serkan Yavuz (28) sees things differently. The companion of Eric Stehfest’s main opponent Filip Pavlovic (27) finds the step of the “GZSZ” star “antisocial”. He is not a team player, but sits in his own film. “But he wrote the script wrong.”
Edith Stehfest promotes understanding for her husband. He had accumulated many negative feelings over the past year. Many people would not have believed his story, which he told in his 2020 filmed drug confession “Nine Days Awake”. This would have accumulated hatred and fears, which are now breaking out in the jungle. Since he doesn’t want to face the fear, so Edith suspects, he now switches to attack.
Mixed reactions from ex-jungle campers
The former IBES participants, who were also guests on the RTL show “The hour after”, reacted ambivalently to the scandal. Model Sara Kulka (31) is firmly behind Eric Stehfest. “He cast a spell over me.” She’s happy to support the Outlaws on principle.
Matthias Mangiapane (38) holds against it. He finds Stehfest’s protest “really bad. I understand it when someone comes back from the exam with few stars because they were afraid. But that’s really selfish.” The reigning king of the jungle, Prince Damien (31), is also skeptical about the matter, despite understanding Stehfest’s advocacy for justice. “I wouldn’t have accepted it that way if it had happened to me in the camp. That’s not possible. He’s a person who loves justice. But the methodology isn’t the greatest.”
