They seemed made to meet and it’s done. Eric Cantona and Alban Lenoir are shock adversaries in A.K.A. by Morgan S. Dalibert available on Netflix this Friday. The first embodies a brutal godfather. The second plays a mountain of muscles, an undercover cop capable of slaughtering an army with his fists.
“There is action and substance in this film, summarizes Eric Cantona for 20 minutes. The ending is very surprising. And it’s not just her! The face-to-face of these two men puts the spectator’s nerves to the test throughout this nervous thriller where the action is not lacking.
A great film duo
“I worked a lot on the background of my character,” says Alban Lenoir. If only physically the star of the diptych Lost bullet impressed. The actor devours the screen with his powerful stature in the role of the hero with a heavy past. “We had to be convinced that my character could flaunt someone with a flick,” insists the actor, whose convincing performance is not limited to fights.
Alban Lenoir manages to stand up to Eric Cantona who is really scary in his gangster skin made all the more brutal because he knows he is at the end of his rope. “I drew on personal things but also on writing a very strong screenplay. “Enemies on the screen, the two actors were on the same wavelength on the set. “I was a bit in love with Eric’s professionalism,” recognizes Alban Lenoir. “And me, it’s the same with Alban,” admits Eric Cantona. All that remains is to reunite this magnificent film duo on an upcoming shoot.
