Samba performance and Erfurt art
The musical accompaniment to the opening by the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra had to be canceled at short notice due to the rainy autumn weather. Instead, the samba group Como Vento from Altenburg drummed.
Ramelow and Mayor Bausewein also symbolically unveiled a sculpture by the Erfurt artist Marc Jung on Saturday morning – a 22 in the national colors black, red and gold, which was decorated with graffiti, dove motifs and the lettering “Peace Please”. The sculpture had previously been provided with many signatures during a trip through Thuringia and Germany.

The official state ceremony on October 3rd in the Erfurt Theater and before that the service in the cathedral will be broadcast live on MDR television and as a stream on mdr.de. The speech will be held by Bundestag President Bärbel Bas (SPD).
