The Kiev vocal and bandura ensemble Beriska performs on Wednesday, November 10th, at 7 p.m. on Petersberg. The participants of the ensemble are professional musicians or students of the Kiev Music Academy and members of the Free Kiev Music Association. The ensemble will perform sacred songs, folk songs with texts by famous Ukrainian poets and melodies on typical instruments of the country. The famous Cossack ballads from ancient Ukraine, which not only sound melancholy but can also carry you away, are performed in the company of banduras and bayan. The audience of this concert will experience the diverse musical range of traditional Ukrainian music live. According to the press release, this music is intended to convey “an insight into the Ukrainian soul – the depth, the warmth, the tenderness and the love of home”.
