If you summarize Brussels’ politics of the past few weeks with a little sarcasm, the message is: Now the time for green spin is finally over. The first thing now is to bring warlord Putin to his knees, become militarily independent of the USA, get the European economy going again, and in other words, get the really important things done in Europe. And this includes, first and foremost, the well-being of agriculture. So no one should come to the farmers with environmental protection. They know best what is good for themselves and for Europe.
