DECRYPTION – Microsoft, AWS, Equinix, Telehouse have just announced a series of investments in France. Among the assets, energy plays a growing role, but there are still many challenges to catch up.

Billions of euros like it was raining. On the occasion of the Choose France summit, Microsoft, AWS, Equinix and Telehouse in turn announced the opening of several data centers and said they were ready to invest nearly 6 billion euros in the country . France has rarely experienced such a tidal wave. The moment is crucial because the development of artificial intelligence requires increasing the number of servers cooled in these immense concrete buildings. And other players are being added, such as the American Digital Realty which will invest 4 billion euros in the country in three new data centers by 2028, and the French Data4, which will commit 3 billion euros to by the end of the decade.
