End of hostilities, Armenian separatists agree to negotiate reintegration into Azerbaijan

The fighting will stop in Nagorno Karabakh, attacked by Azerbaijan. A ceasefire has been ordered and Armenian separatists will lay down their arms on Wednesday at 11 a.m. (French time). This cessation of hostilities was decided after mediation by Russian peacekeeping forces and at least 32 deaths and more than 200 injured. As of Thursday, Armenian separatists will negotiate reintegration into Azerbaijan.

“An agreement was reached on the withdrawal of the remaining units and servicemen of the armed forces of Armenia (…) and on the dissolution and complete disarmament of the armed formations of the Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army,” said the separatist presidency, further announcing first talks regarding the “reintegration” of the territory into Azerbaijan on Thursday in the Azerbaijani town of Yevlakh.
